It's a weird feeling to describe.

Being in a moment and already being nostalgic for it. Already missing it. Already wanting it back.

Already wishing you could record every little thing that's happening so you can relive it all later. Never wanting the moment to end. Hoping and pleading that the energy that fills your soul can be with you forever.

This feeling sums up my entire experience seeing Inhaler.

I was standing in The Grand @ The Complex, a venue in Salt Lake City, Utah. I was surrounded by some of the nicest concert friends I've ever made. I was seeing an incredible show. And I was already longing for the moment to last forever.

The whole show felt so natural. So comfortable. It was like I was seeing my friends. Not like I was seeing a band who's opening for Harry Styles in two months. Instead of having an arrogant, rock-star energy about them, they were kind. Easy to talk to. They saw us waiting in line all day and came out to talk to us. They took pictures with every fan in the line. Rob asked if I was eating orange chicken and told me no so politely when I offered him some. They even signed my marketing textbook because I had nothing else for them to sign.

Probably the weirdest thing they've ever signed?

From the second their set started with "These Are The Days", the energy was electric. You could feel it in your bones. You couldn't help but dance and sing and jump. When they launched into their second and third songs, "My Honest Face" and "Totally", it was obvious the band was having the time of their lives.

As the show went on, the energy just kept building. By the time the main set was ending with "Who's Your Money On? (Plastic House)" and "Cheer Up Baby", the room felt like it was going to burst. There was so much life. When Inhaler left the stage after "Cheer Up Baby", no one moved. Chants of "One more song! One more song!" erupted like a volcano.

Giving in to the chants from the crowd, they took the stage for their encore, and the room went insane. The energy that had been building throughout the whole show finally came to a peak.

The encore of "If You're Gonna Break My Heart" and "It Won't Always Be Like This" were two of the greatest songs I've ever heard live. The energy in the room combined with the insane musical talent of the band made it the greatest encore I think I've ever seen.

As they left the stage, it felt like saying goodbye to a friend. The energy that once filled my soul was now gone, leaving me with nothing to do but listen to the setlist on the drive home to try to recapture the moments I experienced.

Second to only The 1975, this show is easily one of the best I've ever seen. If you have the chance to see these four Irish guys play indie-rock music, take it.

It might just be the best impulse decision you've ever made. It was definitely mine.
